Biking in Philly is Serious Business.
From taxicabs to Septa and car door horror stories that usually end in a trip to the emergency room, there are a lot of obstacles to safely navigating the streets of Philadelphia on a Bike. But there is hope; the Philadelphia City Planning Commission is partnering with Toole Design Group to create the Philadelphia Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan an effort to make Philadelphia a greener, safer, commuter friendly environment.
The entire process is open to discussion. Anyone can participate by taking part in the online survey for Pedestrians and Cyclists. Or make their voices heard by attending planning meetings that are open to the public, including one being held this week:
Tuesday, April 21st–6:30 – 8:00 pm
Municipal Services Building 16th Floor
1401 JFK Blvd, Philadelphia
Whether you’re on 2 feet or 2 wheels, come out and give your 2 cents! (Hopefully there will be enough bike parking out front…)
